Premium Tatkal ticket booking feature exists in some trains and will be allowed in these special trains too if the train regularly has that feature,” a senior Railway Ministry official told the media.

Initially, the railways began 30 Special Rajdhani trains for easing the commute of people stranded across different parts of the nation. However, now 200 Mail Express trains are all set to take the tracks from June 1. Various states have issued different advisories for people coming from these special trains which are needed to be followed by the people. In a bid to reduce confusion & hassle for states, the IRCTC has introduced a Quarantine checklist for the passengers wherein the passengers agree to abide by the guidelines of the state government upon arrival.
