Indian Railways Announce Schedule Change for Special Trains; Check Details

The Indian Railways has been running about 115 pairs of Special Trains across the nation since May 12 for helping passengers reach their homes in various states & cities. However, on Tuesday, the railway authorities announced a major change in the schedule of a few special trains from July 11.

The changes shall be applicable to two trains majorly and are inclined towards frequency reductions. The trains that will be affected by the schedule change are 02303/02304 Howrah – New Delhi – Howrah Special (Via Patna) and 02381/02382 Howrah – New Delhi – Howrah Special (Via Dhanbad).


As per the new schedule, the Train Number 02303 which is Howrah – New Delhi – Howrah Special (Via Patna) will be running only on Saturday. On the other hand, the train 02304 which is the New Delhi – Howrah – Howrah Special (Via Patna) will be running on only Sundays.

Furthermore, the other train 02381 Howrah – New Delhi – Howrah Special (Via Dhanbad) and the 02382 New Delhi – Howrah – Howrah Special (Via Dhanbad) trains will be running only on Thursday & Friday respectively.

The trains are reported to run as per the current schedule till July 10 and the changes shall be applicable from July 11.
