The COID-19 pandemic had disrupted the entire world in terms of normal life, economy, and other travel. The Indian Railways that has been working towards offering safe and secure services to passengers across the country with a limited number of trains during the coronavirus situation, is now planning to launch a few more trains ahead of the festive season.
In order to meet the surging demand of trains during the upcoming festive season in October, the Indian Railways is planning to introduce 80 more special trains. Earlier this month, the national traveler had announced the running of 80 more special trains as well as 40 clone trains.
The railways just like every year are expecting an increase in booking and travel with the festive season approaching. These trains will all be running in addition to the current 115 pairs of Special trains running on various routes of the country.
The clone trains started running from September 21, 2020, on high-demand routes. These trains will be covering the same route as the original trains but will be 1 or 2 hours ahead than the original train in terms of the timing.
